Shereen Walter

California State PTA

Director of Legislation

First District PTA is delighted to invite you to our virtual District Leadership Conference on Saturday, June 12, 2021.

The best gift you can give your PTA is to have informed, trained officers. Take a look at our new schedule and class descriptions and plan to spend time with us as we offer a variety of workshops that will benefit everyone on your board.

Our keynote speaker will be Shereen Walter, California State PTA Director of Legislation. Shereen has been involved with PTA for over 20 years, becoming involved for the same reason many parents do, to make a difference at her own child’s school. She has found a passion for helping all children and families in California with her work as the Community Concerns Advocate and as the Vice President of Health & Community Concerns for California State PTA.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Geophysical Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines and her MBA from the University of California, Irvine. Shereen has three grown children, Stephanie, Lindsey, and Dylan.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion – Making Sure Everyone is Welcome!
Does everyone have a seat at your table? Is your PTA truly representative of your school body? For our PTAs to continue to grow and evolve, we must be intentional about our efforts toward diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).
